Pam Bender

MS, CCC Speech Language Pathologist

Pam is a life-long resident of the Canal Winchester area. A proud graduate of Ohio University, she went on to Miami University where she earned her masters in Speech-Language Pathology. Her work experience includes identification, evaluation and treatment in pediatric-private practice, schools, early-intervention-home-based services, and critical care hospital settings. Pam has her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed by the Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology. Pam is the founder of Capital Therapy Services. Her goal is to fulfill the great need for pediatric speech, language and occupational therapy services in Southeast Columbus. Pam is passionate about her profession which is why Capital Therapy Services has become so successful. She especially enjoys working with children, their families and relevant professionals to develop appropriate treatment plans.

Michelle Wardell

MS, CCC Speech Language Pathologist

Michelle earned a Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from The Ohio State University following completion of a bachelors degree from the University of Massachusetts. She holds national certification in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed with the Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology. Michelle has over 20 years of extensive experience in a variety of pediatric and adult settings including hospitals, school districts, and rehabilitation centers. She has provided assessment and treatment of children with a wide variety of diagnoses including traumatic brain injuries, phonological disorders, articulation disorders, language impairments, apraxia, autism spectrum disorders, and dysphagia. Michelle has specialized in pediatric and adult rehabilitation and conducted various swallowing assessments. Michelle has had additional training in the area of hearing impairment and provided therapy and parent training to children pre and post cochlear implant and/or hearing aids. She has formed children's groups to address the specific issues of apraxia and language delays. Michelle enjoys working with clients of all ages with a focus on the pediatric population and especially early Intervention.

Kaitlin Jensen

MS, CCC Speech Language Pathologist

Kaitlin began working at Capital Therapy Services in August of 2014. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Akron in 2011 and 2014. Kaitlin is licensed with both the Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology and the Ohio Department of Education and the American Speech and Hearing Association.

Kaitlin has worked with children of various ages in the school as well as in in the outpatient clinic, as well as adults in the acute care setting. She has experience in evaluation and treatment of a variety of speech and language disorders. Currently, Kaitlin is working full-time in the school service students. She also works part-time at Capital Therapy services. She enjoys working with all populations, but is especially interested in child language, autism, augmentative and alternative communication and articulation.

Sam Reef

MA, CCC Speech Language Pathologist

Samantha earned her masters in Speech language pathology at Kent State University. She completed her undergraduate course work at Ohio University. Go bobcats! She has worked in a variety of settings since earning her degree and certificate of clinical competence (CCC-SLP) but is most passionate about working with children. Her experiences include post-acute rehabilitation and long term care, home health care, and currently school settings. She provides services to a variety of age ranges from preschool to high school.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, being outside, yoga, and playing with her bulldog!

Samantha has been a part of the team at Capital Therapy Services since 2015. She hopes to continue working with children and their families to help them achieve their speech and language goals!

Amanda White

MS, CCC Speech Language Pathologist

Amanda graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science in 2002 and Master’s Degrees in Speech-Language Pathology in 2003 from Duquesne University. She spent 13 years in Chicago working in a variety of pediatric settings such as the schools, pediatric clinics, and early intervention. She also spent three years as a supervisor for SLP’s in the schools. Amanda returned to her hometown of Columbus, Ohio in 2016 in order to work in the schools full time. She joined Capital Therapy Services in 2017. She has a passion for working with children of all ages in the areas of articulation, receptive and expressive language, fluency, and pragmatics. Amanda enjoys working closely with the client’s entire family in order to build strong relationships and provide the most effective therapy. She is licensed by the Ohio Speech and Hearing Professional Board and the Ohio Department of Education. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and friends, and being outdoors.

Danielle Reymann

MA, CCC Speech Language Pathologist

Danielle attended the University of Akron for her both her undergraduate and Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She graduated in 2017 and has since been working full-time at a skilled nursing facility with geriatric patients. Not only does Danielle have a passion for working with adults but she also loves to work with children. Danielle joined our team in April of 2018 and enjoys working with children of all ages. The areas Danielle treats include articulation, language, and pragmatics. In her free time she enjoys running, reading and spending time with her family and friends.

Alexa Gough

MS, CCC Speech Language Pathologist

Alexa received her Bachelor's degree in Speech and Hearing Science from The Ohio State University in May 2016. She also received her Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from The Ohio State University in August 2018 with a specialization in multicultural aspects of communication. Alexa would like you to know that she bleeds scarlet and grey!

Alexa is licensed by the Ohio Speech and Hearing Professional Board and the Ohio Department of Education. She has experience in a variety of settings from preschool ages to 80+ years. She enjoys working with children from a variety of cultures to increase success and confidence as they are navigating the complex communicative world.

Lisa Gabriel

OTR/L Occupational Therapist

Lisa joined Capital Therapy Services in June 2014. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelors of science degree in occupational therapy in 1985.

Lisa has worked with the pediatric population her entire career in a variety of settings including the school system, early intervention, and outpatient clinics. She has worked with children and young adults with a variety of disabilities.

Lisa has completed extensive continuing education focusing on autism, sensory processing disorders, therapeutic listening, and feeding. In addition, Lisa has completed training in Neurofeedback using the Cygnet software program developed by the Othmers at EEGinfo.

Lisa is certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and holds licenses from the state of Ohio and the Ohio Department of Education.

Rachel Kreidler

OTR/L Occupational Therapist

Rachel graduated from The Ohio State University and has twenty plus years pediatric occupational therapy experience in early intervention, preschools, schools, home based, private practice settings.

She has expertise in sensory processing, visual and fine motor skills, and oral motor/eating skills. Rachel provides evaluations, treatment and consultations to families and children in Columbus and the surrounding suburbs doing home based and clinic based therapy.

Rachel lives in Dublin Ohio with her husband, two kids and puppy.
